One of our favourite venues
once again lived up to its reputation as being one of the best places
a band can play. Packed virtually all night, this is how live venues
should be – full of really enthusiastic punters. Of course it helps
when the sound’s right, and the band are really going for it. Tony played
a blinder on drums tonight and his kit sounded awesome right from the
beginning - Dave did some wonderful things on guitar and the audience
loved every minute of it. To be honest so did we – and to get nights
like tonight are the reason why all of us are in bands. Thanks especially
to Chris and Liz for your fabulous support again, To Tiny & Mrs Tiny
for having come a long, long way to watch us, to Karl for getting up
and singing Don’t Believe a Word with us (which was amazing as we’ve
never played that song before with this line up - and it’s over 7 years
since we played it with the previous band). Also, thanks to the lads
at the front (sorry I can’t remember which bands you were in) for the
great comments, to Ray and Gary for keeping the Brewery Tap the place
it is and for supporting live music and all the bar staff for managing
to keep you thirsty lot in beer all night – not an easy task considering
they were two short behind the bar! And finally, thanks to everyone
who got up dancing. In short, a wonderful night. Thank you all.
